Clearance Sale at Rockaway Records: Silver Lake’s longstanding Rockaway Records is opening up a pop-up store next door to their store and housing it with music at blow-out prices. Thousands of CDs, LPs and cassettes for a mere 99 cents! There will be tons of 45s, posters, T-shirts, books, magazines and other paper goods at heavily discounted prices. I highly recommend arriving early to get the best pickings. The sale will continue through Saturday.

Free Show at Vacation: After you’re done with the flurry of consumer madness this Black Friday, come out to a free in-store at the Eastside’s record shop Vacation. Punk/hardcore duo It’s Casual will play a show and the 21 and over persuasion can down free Colt 45 malt liquor. It’s Casual frontman Eddie Solis is an angry Angelino, and he wants you to feel the wrath. Plus don’t miss out on free prizes and giveaways galore!

Open House at Kiss My Bundt Bakery: You like homemade cakes? Better yet, do you like sampling homemade cakes for free? Well come out to Kiss My Bundt’s Bakery for some cake-tasting fun. To celebrate their recent book release Kiss My Bundt: Recipes from the Award-Winning Bakery, they’re hosting a two-day open house filled with book-signing, cake baking demos and free samples of their inventive baked concoctions such as chocolate bacon and lime basil cake. Swing by to sample organic, fair-trade coffee and champagne cocktails by an aphrodisiac expert. To top off the cake, attendees can receive discounts on classes and a chance to win autographed copies of the book.

Holiday Art and Gift Sale: The Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock is adding some spice to the bland old community art fair. They’ll be hosting a “shop till you drop for the performing and creative arts,” with a local artists exhibition and sale, yumtastic treats from local sponsors, and live musical performances. There will also be some fantastic raffle giveaways every half hour! A portion of the proceeds and 100% of raffle ticket sales benefits the Center.

Cost: Free, but there’s a suggested donation of $5, which includes a raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $5 each or 3 for $10.
