Saturday
Free Pretzel from Auntie Anne’s – Unless there’s a huge sale at one of the department stores or a free health fair of some kind, cheapsters tend to avoid malls like the plague. But this Saturday Auntie Anne’s pretzel shops are offering a free original or cinnamon pretzel! Stop by anytime from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and no coupon is needed. Why not have a field day this Saturday and re-enact your favorite scenes from Clueless and Mall Rats? Relive your idle days of youth when going to the mall and getting your ears pierced at Claire’s was the cool thing to do. To find an Auntie Anne’s near you, visit: http://locator.auntieannes.com/
Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Golden Dragon Parade and Festival – If you missed out on witnessing the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena on New Year’s, well too bad. Just kidding! In celebration of Chinese New Year, L.A.’s Chinatown is putting on its 111th annual Golden Dragon Parade (wowza, I didn’t know the world was that old!) So if you didn’t get your fix of school marching bands, community floats, and cute things in colorful costumes on January 1st, now’s your chance!

Tiny Music - What is sure to be one of LA’s most intimate performances spaces is the Little William Theatre. Nestled in a tiny coatroom underneath the staircase in the front lobby of the Hammer Museum, short, mini-concerts will be held this Saturday afternoon. As part of the Machine Project’s collaboration with the Hammer, clarinet and guitar duo Alex Noice and Brian Walsh will be playing their visceral, original compositions for up to two people at a time. Now that’s what I call exclusive.
